About Us

TEMCO, Inc. was established in 1971 as an extended employment corporation employing adults with developmental disabilities.  Our mission is "to provide meaningful employment  opportunities to persons with developmental disabilities in our service area."

TEMCO, Inc. is a 501(c)3 charitable, not-for-profit extended employment facility-based sheltered workshop.  We are certified by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Extended Employment Section.  

We are a vocational based sheltered workshop.  Employees earn a commensurate wage based on the current prevailing wage. We are not a day program.  We provide real work employment opportunities.  Employees participate in a benefit package earning 10 paid vacation days and 10 paid holidays, with an option to participate in a 403(b) retirement fund.  Our employees pay social security and Medicare taxes (FICA).
